The Stitchers also make standard size pillowcases for special events at Cook Children’s - summer camps, breakout parties, going home parties, birthdays, and holidays.  The pillows stay with the hospital, but the patients can take the pillowcases home.  These pillowcases have a finished size of 20" x 31", and fit a standard pillow. Please note that "Cook Children's" does not have to be on the Standard-Sized Pillowcases.  It is up to you if you want to embroider or applique something on this size pillowcase, but it is not a requirement.  

Patients are given a smaller pillow that they can take home and our Stitchers make pillowcases to fit these smaller pillows.  They are given out on a day-to-day basis and can be used for holidays as well.  These pillowcases have a finished size of 15" x 24".  Begining March 2008, it is preferred that all pillowcases donated to Cook Children's except for the special occassions listed below, be this new smaller size.  Please keep in mind that "Cook Children's" must be on these smaller size pillowcases.  It can be embroidered, appliqued, or hand-written.  Click here for some embroidery designs that you may want to download.  If you don't have the capability to embroider, you can still make the pillowcases and get them to us and we will get them embroidered.
